Ben Tre is known as the hometown of Dong Khoi Revolution and also a land of the coconut tree of Vietnam. It is located at the end of the Mekong river, so Ben Tre has many canals and vast coconut gardens. In addition to coconut trees, Ben Tre also has many orchards scattered in many districts and towns, of which the most concentrated is in Cho Lach and Chau Thanh districts.

This is the most convenient way to travel to Ben Tre from Can Tho. There are many passenger bus lines for visitors that the most reputable branch is Khach Hiep, costing about VND 70,000/guest. You can book ticket by calling the bus line or buy tickets directly at Can Tho station, and you will be picked up to Ben Tre station. The passenger bus will depart at 8:00 AM and arrive at 10:00 AM.
Time to travel from Can Tho to Ben Tre is about 3.5 hours by motorbike and 2.5 hours by car. When you go, remember to obey the traffic laws, go to the right lane and speed to avoid penalty mistakes, and you should also prepare the route in advance. There are 2 routes you can choose as the following.
From Can Tho city, you go along National Highway 1A through Can Tho bridge, then turn right to go into Highway 54. After that, you turn to TL911 and go straight. After meeting the intersection with National Highway 60, you follow this road through Co Chien bridge and go straight to Ben Tre province.
Exploring the life in Ben Tre
The second route is a little longer. From Can Tho city, you go towards National Highway 91C. After arriving at Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant, you go to the direction of National Highway 60 and go straight to Ben Tre city.
